Why is Challengers an educational entrepreneurship vs a nonprofit?

My name is Travis and Challengers is my small business. I taught for a decade and don't think teaching is a sustainable career.

Challengers is my way to create classrooms based in nature that give myself and other educators a creative space to teach content unrelated to standardized bullshit.

Most of the teachers I know have left education to go to a completely different career. Educational Entrepreneurship is a way for teachers to make sustainable income while continuing to offer their knowledge and skills to students in the community.

What does my business offer?

• I fundraise for the cost of the Challengers Educational Farm,
• I build the shed,
• I include the tools,
• I write and create the educational resources,
• I deliver the shed,
• I work with a community leadership team to build the garden,
• I teach some of the beginning workshops, and
• I train the leadership team to have complete ownership of the project.
