The Solution

The Challengers Educational Farm provides three immediate solutions for the community.

1

Education

Educational Workshops about growing food are offered to the community. We need more people growing quality food.

2

Employment

People living in low-income housing are provided gainful employment as farmers.

3

Entrepreneurship

Low income families can explore entrepreneurship through farming to elevate their circumstances.

We need realistic solutions to address the growing homeless population.

If low income residents lose their housing with the new legislation things will get significantly worse. So providing employment will ensure they are able to keep their housing.

Additionally, if low income families become farmers they are able to:

  1. Have access to quality food
  2. Decrease their cost of groceries
  3. Become entrepreneurs through selling at local farmers markets
